Welcome back, Plumb Families!
I hope you enjoyed the Holiday Break and were able to spend some time with your families!
Our next General PTA Meeting is Tuesday, January 20th at 6:30 p.m. in the Multi Purpose Room. Pamela Moore, Associate Superintendent of Teaching and Learning at the Pinellas County School Board will be giving a presentation that will help our parents better understand Florida Standards Math! Also, come and find out what your PTA has planned for the coming months! I understand that Plumb is made up of many working families, and many of you work all kinds of different hours, and it’s hard for some of you to make it to our General Meetings in the evening, but we are really hoping to see you there, and that we have something to offer that will be of benefit to you and your child’s education.
The “FUN FEST” is coming soon! The date is February 7th and we are in need of registered volunteers and donations! Refer to the “FUN FEST” article in the January Pelican Post for more information. If you are unable to help the day of the “FUN FEST”, please consider helping your class put together a CLASS AUCTION BASKET. Contact your child’s teacher or Homeroom Parent to see how you can help! The Class Basket Auction is where the PTA raises most of its funds, so please help us make it a success! Please check the calendar for the dates and times.
There were FOURTEEN Plumb students whose "Reflections" projects were chosen to represent Plumb at the Pinellas County Council PTA's Awards Ceremony on January 6, 2015 at Pinellas Park High School. Last year, three Plumb students’ projects were advanced to the Florida State level. This year, FOUR students’ projects were chosen! Please be sure to congratulate Sarah Rowell (Literature), Jude Palma (Film Production), Tori Joyce (Literature), and Hanna VerHoef (Dance Choreography)!
Plumb Elementary PTA would like to thank the Plumb families for helping to make our school an awesome place for our kids to learn!
