According to Pinellas County School Guidelines, volunteers must be REGISTERED, or RE-ACTIVATED, AND GET FINGERPRINTED for approval of a background check in order to function as a Level ll Volunteer. A Level ll Volunteer is allowed to spend unsupervised time with students as chaperones or mentors. Other Volunteers are only allowed to be with the students when there is administrative supervision, such as during a classroom party.
To REGISTER as a Volunteer
1. Download the volunteer registration form , sign and complete front and back. a. Attach a copy of a government issued photo ID. (Driver's License) b. Take the form to the school you’re volunteering for.

4. The cost will be $45.00. 5. All fingerprint approvals will take 48 to 72 hours. 6. Status will be sent to the Office of Strategic Partnerships. 7. When approval is granted, the volunteer’s profile will be updated with the Level II status in Focus. 8. At Plumb, the next step is to see Mary Patton in the front office. She will give you a form, authorizing you to go to Walter Pownall to pick up your new badge!
