Originally I am from the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area and grew up in a small town named Monaca. I graduated from Geneva College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Recently, I graduated from the University of South Florida with a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. I have been an educator for 14 years, and I have taught in Pennsylvania, California and Florida. This year I begin my ninth year in Pinellas County Schools. For seven years I worked at Sandy Lane Elementary, where I taught 3rd and 4th grades. During this past school year, I was a member of the Gulf Coast Partnership Grant, which enabled me to complete a year-long Assistant Principal internship at Lakewood Elementary.
My husband Mike and I have two children. Madison is a graduate of Pinellas County Schools and is currently a sophomore at the University of Tennessee. Our son, Michael, is a junior at East Lake High School. We have a dog named Coco. As a family we enjoy watching sports, watching movies and going to the beach.
Being an educator is a true passion for me and I am very excited to become a part of the Plumb family. I believe that building relationships, setting high academic expectations and creating a positive environment provides a place for students to be successful and reach their full potential!
I look forward to meeting and working with each one of you as the school year begins.
