Please join us and share your opinions, your time, your talents, and your voice for our children. The meetings are always held on the third Tuesday of a month, at 6:30 p.m. in our Multi-Purpose Room. Be sure to watch our Newsletter, "The Pelican Post", for specific dates.
Plumb Elementary PTA has participated in this FUNdraiser since 2012. Each year continues to be very successful! The money from PTA FUNdraisers goes to support our school in many different ways. We hope you continue to enjoy the cookies, pizzas, bags, etc. for many years to come!
Plumb PTA February "FUN FEST"
We celebrated 40 years of Plumb Elementary PTA Fall Carnival in October of 2013! We went into the archives and re-instituted some of the things they did "way back then" for all to enjoy. In 2014, the name and date was changed to "Plumb PTA February "FUN FEST"! Now, we look forward to another 40 years of success as a February FUNdraiser!
The Reflections Program is a National Arts competition that was started by our National PTA. Students compete in Visual Arts (painting, drawing, collage), Photography, Literature (Poetry, Short Stories), Film (create their own short film), Dance Choreography, and Musical Composition. The theme for submissions changes each year. In 2013 it was "Believe Dream, Inspire"; 2014 "The World Would Be a Better Place If...", and for 2015 the theme is "Let Your Imagination Fly!" We continue to have some of our talented students move on to State competition each year! We are very proud of every student that participates, and look forward to increasing the number of participants every year! Watch for information during the second week of September, when we will usually be launching this year's Reflections Program!
Walk to School Day
The annual "Walk to School Day" is usually held in October, and is sponsored by the PTA. Specific information as to where and what time we are gathering can always be found in the October Pelican Post, on our PTA Calendar, or a reminder on Facebook and Twitter.
Books 'N Biscuits has expanded a little bit over the years to include Blankets in their event! This Program helps encourage our students' love for reading by setting aside a specific morning, several times a year, to spend time reading 'Books', and eating a few 'Biscuits' while sharing a 'Blanket' with other family members. This event is always well attended. Watch for specific dates, times and location in our monthly "Pelican Post", on the website calendar, on Facebook, and on Twitter.
