The Carnival is the largest FUNdraiser for Plumb Elementary PTA every year! It takes approximately 200 volunteers to brain-storm, create, and work the Carnival. One of the volunteers we need is someone willing to coordinate the creation and submission of our class baskets for the Auction venue.
The Coordinator will work with our PTA Homeroom Representative to communicate with Homeroom Moms /Dads. He / She will "mentor" the Teachers & Homeroom Moms or Dads in their decision making process for themes, method(s) of gathering / storing items, packaging the items into a cohesive "basket", etc. Every class will be encouraged to collect gift basket donations based on the theme that class has chosen. The gift basket items must be:
collected by the teachers and made available for pick-up by the coordinator.
stored until time for packaging,
shrink- wrapped for beautiful presentation at the Silent Auction,
and properly labeled, for the class to receive credit for their submission (for the contest in which the classes are competing)
You will not be doing this alone. Not only will you have the support of our Homeroom Representative, but Mrs. Amy Sohoski has been the Coordinator for several years, so you can ask her for tips and tricks to facilitate the different aspects of this responsibility.
